AO 1 Point Slam

Hawksburn Tennis Club is excited to host the AO 1 Point Slam competition that could lead to playing with Pros at the AO and win $1m!

The weather was a bit wet and windy unfortunately but we pushed through for a quick tournament. Congratualtions to the overall winner, Dimitri Bagaric, who will go on to represent the club at the state finals and then hopefully onto the AO itself for a chance to win the $1m!

Thanks to everyone who took part and we hope to see you again at the club for a hit...

As part of Tennis Australia’s 1 Point Slam community events, Hawksburn Tennis Club is set to host it’s very own 1 Point Slam on 6th December at 5pm.

The event will see local players take part, hoping to claim victory and a spot in the State Championships draw to be held on Saturday 20 December 2025.

Winners of the eight State Championships events around the country will move through to the AO 1 Point Slam Main Draw, where 48 pros, amateurs and wildcards will compete on Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 14 January 2026 for $1 million

“The AO 1 Point Slam is tennis at its most exciting – one point, one shot at glory. It’s fast, unfiltered and open to everyone,” Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley said.

“This event is the ultimate grassroots-to-Grand Slam experience. We want to see local 1 Point Slam events taking place around Australia so that our entire tennis loving community has a shot to live out their Grand Slam dream on the biggest stage this January.
