What a great season by the Hawksburn Pennant team! This was the first time since the 1930's that the club has reached the sectional Grand Final and finished with the Runners Up flag. Huge congratulations to all the players who helped us to achieve this fantastic level of tennis and we have our fingers crossed that we can build on this next year.

The final was tighter than the scores suggest with hard-fought matches all round against a very strong Glenvale team.

Congratulations to everyone for the fantastic season. While it wasn't the result we were chasing, coming so close and taking home the runners-up flag is a massive achievement. You fought for every single point and represented the club with incredible spirit and sportsmanship right until the final rubber.
Thank you to the whole squad for your commitment, everybody here has busy lives outside tennis, but we found some time to practice, compete and cheer to our mates in a symbiosis of competition and social tennis. I would like to say thank you to all the players that made part of this journey that started in early May. We had along the season, 15 players that played at least 1 round and 12 players qualified to the finals (who played at least 4 rounds), what is an incredible representation for our small club.
I would like to say thank you to the new players that joined the squad this year, Siva, Raghav, Sahil, Anthony and Jordan and to other players that were part of the squad from the previous years and kept representing the club.
I hope you all had a good time, see you guys, on court!!!
